I acquired a virus this week that necessitated a complete hard drive wipe–I booted from the Windows DVD and reformatted the drive, and then reinstalled Windows, and since I was already going to all that trouble, I upgraded to Windows 7 as well. The only problem is that now I can’t re-install my copy of ZBrush 3.5R2, because it is still activated on the old Vista installation that now no longer exists. The unfortunate thing is, even if I had remembered that I needed to deactivate ZBrush before reinstalling Windows, I wouldn’t have been able to do it, since the virus prevented me from running any application.
Anyway… help! What do I need to do to deactivate the old ZBrush install? I still have my serial number (and the last activation code), as well as the downloaded zip of 3.5R2.
