i think there may be a promblem with the reconstruct subdivision button in zbrush 3 i press and it does nothing on my poly mesh that was started from a sphere i hope you fix this whenyou release the update in a couple of days to fix all the zbrush3 promblems thanks for a great product and all the posabilities with it but please do fix the promblems soon thanks!!!
and also zsphere tools with stored morph target that is detailed and sculpted from zbrush 2 does not seem to be working at all in zbrush 3 does not look anything like it did in zbrush2?
Does your sphere have tris on the sub d level that you are currently on? If so it won’t work.
Reconstruct sub div will only work if your mesh is made up of quads.
The exception to this are the zbrush primitives. They contain tris but can still have reconstruct work correctly on them as far as I have seen.
no it doesnt its just the sphere that you start out from when the program first starts when it asks you what tool would you like to use i sculpted a head from that and made polymesh 3d and tried reconstructing and it did nothing. but its not only that the zsphere tools with stored morph targets i made in zbrush2 are all screwed up and are looking nothing like it in zbrush3 will this be fixed also in the update?
I got it to work no problem. However, some meshes cannot be reconstructed any further.
try “enable uv” under tool > texture and then reconstruct subdiv. It worked for me.
