Recessed Pinching in the Hands? Help please.

I’ve attached a photo of a hand I’m practicing sculpting and every time I need to rearrange fingers this pinching happens. Is there a way to fix this? Is there a better way to move fingers around? Should I just start over?

I’m practing a tutorial found in a book about digital sculpting for human anatomy. It’s really damn difficult. Any advice would be gladly accepted. Thank you.

Yes, sculpting is hard. Practice, practice, practice is the best advice I can give you.

I find it easiest to start with a ZSphere armature for the basic form. Once happy with that make an adaptive skin and select it, drop to lowest subdivision level and make major tweaks as needed. Refine from there. As a plus you’ll have a means to pose your model easily after creation.
