head.jpg hello everyone,
this is one of my recent models . critiques are appreciated!

A common mistake with beginners is that they jump to the small details before the shape of the model is correct. You’ve got a good start here, but anatomy-wise you’re lacking a lot of facial structure and definition. I would recommend checking out some anatomy studies of the human face/head and getting a feel for all of the intricate details that make up the planes of the face. When you aren’t aware of the underlying anatomy it’s hard to see what exactly is wrong with your mesh, but once you have an understanding of it you will start to notice all of the missing nuances and details.

Like I said, it’s a good start, but if you want to take it to the next level you’re going to need to improve your knowledge of anatomy

thank you for posting your opinion / honestly the image was modeled from a drawing so the proportions are somewhat off. Base mesh was produced in maya and I imported it in as a obj. I will take your advice to heart. Thanx:D
