i thought i saw in some of the 3.5 videos a turntable like thing happening. didn’t the first zbrush have that as a button where you could press ‘turntable’ and see your model just spin? be really nice to have, i’m sure there is a plugin out there for it? i googled ‘turntable plugin zbrush’ and all i got were zbrush render turntable things…anyone know if i can do this in zbrush or if there is a plugin? thanks gang
ZBrush does turntables natively; the options are in the Movie pallet. If you want more control features, download the Turntable Plus plug-in.
I don’t believe any plug-ins work in 3.5 yet.
Dustin - I think he means something more like in Modo, where you can just start an object turning and it will keep turning. Or in Xnormal where you can auto spin the camera, same goes for most game engines with lights and cameras actually.
In Zbrush…not that I know of, other than how dustin said to already. A little of a pain, but you can set up a macro to record a movie with a slow turn speed and and certain number of rotations, then auto delete the file.
Hope that helps
Hmm…ZMapper sort of does that. Just turn all the display options off so you aren’t seeing the normal map if you don’t want to. Perhaps not exactly what you’re looking for, but that’s all I got
Thanks for the suggestion, I wish it had worked.
