Well, I think that’s a little bit confusing me.
a) apply your original texture to the mesh with polypaint
hmm, how to do that ?
do you have a step by step quick instruction ?
I know how to paint directly on the mesh, so I do have the polypaint, and I know I can use Texture to color, but I can’t use this option, because my texture doesn’t fit to my new re-topology mesh ?
b) you can then use projection during the retopology phase
well, my retopology phase is finished, and my mesh is now a poly mesh.
so, isn’t it anymore possible ? what options do I have and how to do ?
c) transfer the polypaint to a new texture.
well, I think that would be the function Col–>Texture
but I couldn’t make my way until point c.
uff, I hope there is maybe some way. Of course, the best idea would be to tranfer the UVW coordinates, but of course, the new topology is different, so that may not work, just in my dreams I think…
