This is something I’ve been working on in my spare time. I kind of wanted to make the licker that was from game and not the movie.

Good start, but I think you should play around with the proportions. It almost looks like a guy in a suit. Thin him out some in his waist and legs, I 'd also put him in a licker type pose just to get a better feel for it. Keep it up.
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll take it into consideration. I was thinking about putting him in a crouch position, or maybe having him in pounce position. Anyway, I think once I have him posed, he’ll look more licker like.
i like what you have going on witht he body so far, but i have to be honest with you, the hugeee hands take away from the character alot. they make him look goofy, and not anatomically correct. if he had hands that big he would not be able to talk at all, and would fall over all the time. i would suggest scaling them properly.
i really like the facial detail though. the brain area could use a little more variation and organic-ness (not a word but, oh well)
keep working on it
Just a small update.
Here’s a little texture/render test. I wanted to see if the texture and normal map would look all right in Maya.
Anyway, I still have quite a way to go. I’m might take a little break on on this guy and start working on a scene for him.

Sorry, mdale13. I missed your post.
Anyway, about your comment on the hands. I do agree with you that having big hands like that is anatomically incorrect. Your also right that it would fall over if it tried to walk. However, I’m using the original design of the licker as a reference and from what I remember from the game, the creature crawled on all four. So it doesn’t really have to worry about falling over. Although with big hands like that, I’m not sure how it’s able to leap. I guess the original artist didn’t really think about that one now did he
Anyway, thanks for the comment and I appreciate the suggestion
