Greetings, everyone. Well, I’ve started playing around with a new project. One of my favorite Harryhausen creatures was from his test footage for the never realized 1950 War of the Worlds. That was 3 years before Pal’s version was made and I was born. I don’t know how far I’ll get on this, it depends on how the modeling goes, I’m taking an unusual approach to this,…yes very unusual. One problem is finding reference. My copies of ‘From The Land Beyond Beyond’ and 'Film Fantasy Scrapbook’ have no pictures of him. I did find a small shot on the web and have some short footage on a video. We’ll see how far I get. 50.

I went to the library a few weeks ago, and checked out the book called THE ART OF RAY HARRYHAUSEN.

A huge resource for his stuff. Includes early sketch ideas he did that never made it into films.

Which creature are you talking about? The least I can do is scan a pic or two for you if I do have it here.

Hey, there, Clubitz, yeah I’ve seen that ‘The Art’ is out and it’s one I’m buying. The problem is his drawings for this film are a little more exagerated that the actual model. It’s really a big head with 6 tentacles. Ya gotta love a big head with 6 tentacles. 50.
