Ray Le's Sketchbook

Hello folks!

I’m quite new here  I think it would be fun to open a sketchbook here to post my works and get critique!

I’m not a professional, still learning so C&C are welcome!

Here are some shots/WIPs of a personal project that I’m working on. The purpose of this project is to learn female head and maybe I will use this head to learn Mari and VRay as well.

This is still WIP, I’m working on her hair at the moment. All done in Zbrush, BPR Rendered.

Good work!:+1:

Great job.eyebrows and eyelashes came out really nice.maybe a little work one the ears.keep it up.

The face is really nice and the hair looks really great already.

Looking good!!! congratulations with such an outstanding piece and very curious what the end result will look like. Personally I would tone down her pore details a little tiny bit but that’s just my personal taste/view. Besides that could you advise how you get such nice crisp lip details?

I just changed the proportion of the head, give the ears some love, adding more hair, and compositing render passes in Photoshop. Hope you guys like it! Hopefull I would have time to texture her.

now you can look at her ears & say: " hey, they look more natural".nicely done.waiting for your next works.Good Luck.;)

I just got a chance to test Marmoset Viewer, so I decide to share my first character in Viewer. Marmoset Viewer brings Marmoset toolbag scene to the web browsers in interactive 3D for all to see. Make sure you check out the artstation below!

Love this!

That is stunning, bro!
Can you share mesh and texture sizes for that, so that I can get an idea of what I can get away with/aim in the new Marmoset 3D viewer for when I convert my latest hi-poly piece to a low(er) poly count?

Cheers
H

Omg I love that monkey in his monkey suit! That piece is done right in so many ways! Awesome piece! That should be a toy. It would look awesome on a desk. It would awesome on my desk! So cool man :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Love the chimp! And the viewer is pretty cool too. Nice job!

@Rawsunlight: In the Marmoset Viewer, have you tried double click on the screen? It will show all the texture maps and wireframe of the model. The texture size in my Marmoset toolbag scene is 4k resolution but 2k in the viewer.

Nice work Ray. Keep it up

I’m doing a Warcraft character for Blizzcon 2015 Art Contest. Hopefully I could finish her before the deadline :frowning:

I pick Sylvanas Windrunner since she is my most favorite character in Warcraft franchise. I have seen a lot of Sylvanas versions from many artists but I always feel there is something missing… so I decide to do another version of her with next-gen realistic shading, not hand painting. I’m working on the texturing at the moment, and here are some old & new WIPs of her.
