Howdy all, Zbrush newbie trying to start a “sketches” thread, today I come with a bad model and a question. My model is currently at 5 million polys but I find that’s not enough to sculpt more detail in certain areas like the eyes for example, now, I could divide it again but it would be 25 million but it’s so laggy it’s unsculptable so I’m asking you guys, is there a way to “instert” polys in some areas?

You can use masking to increase resolution to specific areas. Mask off the areas that you want to be higher res, invert the mask, then subdivide. Afterward, if you go into frame view mode, you should see a wireframe that indicates the difference in resolution in the various areas of your tool.

And how about the opposite? I have way, way too many polys on the fingers and feet, is there a way to decrease the subdivision on certain areas or a way to remove unwanted polys?

sounds like the best option to solve both problems is to retoplogize.
