Randomness

Hi all, I’ve been playing around in Zbrush for the last few days, as well as watching alot of tutorials but as a newbie that just started I do have some questions/problems that I have searched already but didn’t find an aswer so I’m hoping my inquiries aren’t too fragile to demand a response.

I started modelling the Soul Reaver from the Legacy of Kain series, the blade is made in Sketchup so that’s probably why I’m having problems with it. When I go in projection master and paint it and after I’m finished and “pick it up” Zbrush gets “hung”, I mean I waited a long time and nothing happened so I attached it for download so maybe one of you guys can take a look and tell me what I’m doing so horribly wrong.

Also, when I click “render” nothing happens, like the above problem, I searched but haven’t found anything about it, is there a “render settings” tutorial that I have missed?

Thank you very much.

Your blade is FUBARED. So i just made you a new one real quick =D No need to thank me, I was bored.
you can compare them with with the frame on to see the difference.

Now make something cool!!

OK, I see that in the frameview that the mesh was screwed, but as I intend on doing more work outside of Zbrush and importing it, can you tell me what’s screwing the model while exporting, I use 3DMax 9 for exporting, and…perhaps a render settings tutorial?

Thank you.

I’m not sure how you made it but the best method is to box model it in in a 3d app. I used your first blade as a guide to box model it in Modo. I’m sure you could use zspheres. Or retypologise it in zbrush.
