Random Zbrush crashes!

When using this file I get random crashes. Mostly when trying to scroll through or switch subtools.

The Mem settings are usually on its random settings, but I’ve tried several options there as well without any luck.

I’ve reinstalled the program 5-6 times where this problem have gotten delayed for a few hours, but when the crashes comes back they happen more frequently everytime I load my file, or try to texture it, or select different subtools.

Now I cant do anything without having the program crash on me, and its getting pretty frustrated as I’ve got a deadline in just 4 days with a schoolproject so I’m getting pretty stressed about this.

A quick answer would be greatly appreciated!

PS: I’ve tried to send a support ticked but that system doesn’t work apparently. I’ve tried 3 times already.

A new day and the problem occurs. The crash comes when I try to drag the subtool scroller or when I try to switch a subtool.

The program worked fine until I started to texture the model.

I’ve also got a problem with the UV Master. On one of the subtools it just hangs up shutting the program down after a while. No error message or nothing.

My school project is supposed to be ready for Thursday, so please, if someone have any tips, or if you’ve got this problem as well, please add your problems in here so that maybe someone can pinpoint what the problem can be.

PS: My school have a license for Mudbox. Is it possible to export my work from zbrush to mudbox so that I can finish the project in some way?

Update:

After several tries I managed to take all my subtools and delete the highest levels there, so that I ended with 10mill polygons instead of 28mill polygons. Now I’ve been able to texture the model for about 30 minutes without any crashes, so maybe that fixed it.

Sad that I lost a lot of details on both the textures and noise/surface on the model though… But this is at least better than nothing.

Update:

Yepp, that fixed it it seams. I’ve been able to work all day for about 3 hours without a crash. Yay! Looks like I’m gonna be able to finish off my project after all.

So guys/gals, if you encounter a problem like this, try to reduce the nr. of polygons you’ve got in your scene.
