Radial Symmetry with Spotlight - some parts don't get it right?

Hey guys,
I have a cube and a texture imported into spotlight.
I’m trying to sculpt the texture details into one of the faces and have radial symmetry sculpt the same information to all 4 faces…
For some reason only the face facing to me and the face behind it are receiving the sculpt while the side faces are looking like smudged stripes… Any idea how to make it work well?

Thanks so much !

Is this the cube from the project (where every side is a nice grid of quads) or the primitive cube where the side topology is quite different?

An Alternative technique would be to duplicate the sculpt, rotate it and use project to transfer the detail to the smooth sides of the mesh. Or rotating 45’ and using mirror and weld. These could depend on the design of the detail though.

It is actually a cube I imported from Maya and used Dynamesh over it.
Thing is, when I sculpt with the Standard brush over one side with radial symmetry on the sculpt works fine and is being made on all 4 sides… as soon as I use Spotlight that problem occurs.
I already found another solution for my problem though I would really like to know what I did wrong and how to make it work properly in the future.

Thanks a lot
