Radial Symmetry fades off?

Hiya,
For some reason when I use Radial Symmetry and try to paint with it or something, it works out well except in some areas it’s fading off and not really working…

In the attached pic you can see I was painting red strips with low opacity…
That pic was taken after rotating the camera to show 1 of the parts in which the paint is fading away although the Radial Symmetry is set up just fine.

Anyone knows why?
Thank you !

My guess is either the alpha you’re using isn’t crisp enough, or you don’t have an even distribution of polygons on your tool. Areas that are more polygon dense will allow for more detail to be sculpted, and areas with less polygon density won’t look as good.

i’ve experienced this but with zadd, didn’t try painting, it was the result of a too small draw size, i think i worked around it by using a larger draw size with a smaller alpha and the focal shift in the negative, something like that, play with it.

The problem disappears if I scale up the brush size…
However, I don’t want to larger than that!?
The only thing I can do is repaint the missing areas which is a silly solution.

I am not using an alpha, just a normal brush and the polygons are even on the entire object :frowning:

try using a round alpha, or turn down the focal shift while maintaining a larger draw size, even around 15 should work. as i said play with it, there is a solution, i know from experience.

You’re right, thank you !!
