Hi all,
This must have been asked before but:
I know how to move my pivot when I need to use local symmetry on specific parts of my model. Now the question at hand is radial symmetry and pivot rotations. Since radial symmetry relies on axes I need to rotate my pivot according my model - let’s say I want my y-axis to be facing tangential to my surface when sculpting using radial symmetry. Selecting part of the mesh and moving pivot to the center of visible mesh works but it doesn’t rotate pivot correctly. How do I do this?
Thanks guys and gals!
You will have to use Tool>Deformation>Rotate to set up the axes how you want and then reverse the changes after you have done your sculpting. If you set the pivot on a partially visible mesh make sure you show the whole mesh before adjusting the rotation! Create a polygoup for the partially visible portion so you can show/hide it easily.
Thanks Marcus,
Full manual pivot transformations/rotations would be very nice addition to ZBrush. Is it likely that we would get that one day?
I’ve no idea, but I agree they would be useful.
