Hello all…
I’m pretty new to ZBrush. I’ve only been using it with any regularity since October. The first two months were mostly spent getting acquainted with the software so I didn’t feel like bashing my machine against the wall every time I turned it on (not quite there yet).
Earlier this week I decided I should try to start sculpting something worth looking at. I (perhaps foolishly) decided to start with a human head… easy, right!? Anyway… I’ve been pretty happy with my progress over the last three days so I thought I’d start a sketchbook here to document the successes and failures of my attempts at mastering this software.
Any tips, insights, or suggestions… comments or constructive criticism is greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to follow along with me.
This was my first attempt at a head on 12/7/16.
I should probably say that I have a background in tabletop miniatures and am using ZBrush to design figures for 3D printing and mass production. I’ve been hard surface modeling WWII tanks for Trenchworx for the last three years using Rhino and plan to use ZBrush to sculpt organic figures for games as well. So a lot of my work may be heavily stylized because of the scale it will be printed out at.
Attempt #2 on 12/8/16.
Attempt #3 on 12/9/16
Progress!!!
Thanks again for looking.
