R3 customizing - what am I doing wrong?

Hey all,
I finally made the jump to R3, I like it already. Im having a couple of small issues though.

First off, I tried to change the backdrop (going to a solid color). When I got the color of the backdrop I wanted, I hit Ctrl+Shift+I to save the config but it goes back to default when I restart ZB. ??

Secondly, I downloaded the new UV Master plugin, copied the uvmaster_1.0.zsc file to the ZStartup\Zplugs folder along with copying the uvmaster_win folder to Zplugs but it doesnt show up in the plugin drop-list when I restart ZB.

What am I missing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated :smiley:

Hi AA-ron,

For the backdrop color what you can try is by pressing [Save As Startup Doc] button under Document palette…I haven’t try it myself, but i guess it will work…

And second, is you want to install the UV master plugin what you need to copy into ZStartup\Zplugs folder is the UVMaster_1.0.zsc and UVMasterData_1.0 folder…if you copy the whole root folder it wont work.

Hey there,

the downside to that is that ZAppplink won’t work when using a Startup Document.

What i did was recording a macro of my start settings. Stuff like maxing out the canvas size or getting rid of the Background Gradient. So every time i start ZB i just click on my Macro and i’m good.
