So I have tripped across an interesting issue. I’m using a zbrush trial on mac, the version is 4r7 p3.
My issue is that quicksave isn’t working. When I quicksave in zbrush a message pops up saying file saved successfully, but the files aren’t there.
My quicksave location is users/Shared/ZBrushData/Quicksave and the files saved are QS_246.zpr QS_247.zpr QS_252.zpr QS_253.zpr QS_284.zpr QS_285.zpr QS_286.zpr QS_290.zpr QS_291.zpr QS_292.zpr
So as you can see the files haven’t been saving properly. The files span from the 9th feb-13th feb, but none of my quicksaves or autosaves from yesterday have saved. The curious thing is though that the QuickSaveCounter.cfg gets modified whenever I quicksave, so something is happening but for whatever reason it isn’t overwriting the old files.
I found a workaround which is moving the old quicksave files out the quicksave folder, the quicksaves start saving. I don’t yet know whether they will overwrite or not. My current QS files are QS_3148.zpr, so it has still been counting (and it also gives an idea of how many QS are missing).
It would be really great is anyone has any idea whats happening. I’m currently demonstrating how amazing zbrush is to my new employers in an attempt to convince them to get it, so it was really embarrassing to loose a whole afternoons worth of work yesterday.
