quick question on geometry selections

I have a model of some teeth that I need to reshape but have to keep the same polycount/subdivision. Although the individual teeth were originally modeled seperately, in the final mesh many of the teeth are intersecting and pushing inside of each other. Is there a way in zbrush to intelligently select the connected faces of a particular tooth so that I can easily move it and reshape it without selecting/affecting the neighboring intersecting teeth? If not, does anyone have a recommended workflow for situations where faces are intersecting in a mesh like this?

Thanks in advance for any help!

you can set up polygroups based on geometry and select only the one you want or you can use the move topological brush and only select topo within an “element”
