I have not used ZB in a long time :frowning: and looking for qick tips!

ZBrush Basics
1) After filling a mesh with material: Color> Fill Object
How do you get it back to where when you scroll over diferent materials the thumbnail image changes to the material the mouse is over?

2) How to change Space between alphas when using Traks Brush?
(2 Lazy step is not giving enough space between)

ZB 3.5 Questions

1) There is no Preview of UniSkin (I never used UniSkin, always used 3DpolyMesh, no UniSkin in the Preview sub menu has this always been the case?)
2) ZappLink?
3) SubTool Master?
4) Lazy Mouse and Masking
How to invoke Lazy mouse when masking? PATH sub setting works great but has a limited range.
5) Load Custom Macro? I created a 10x Smooth Macro> save, but cannot load it. (not showing up under Macro Menu)

Plugins are not ready for ZB3.5.

To “Unfill” an objects color, fill set the shader to “flat color” and the color to white and fill the object again. Now it will respond directly to matcap choices.

I haven’t found a unified skin preview except ctrl-z. :wink:

If Lazy step isn’t doing it, consider padding the alpha e.g. more black space around the edges) in an image editor.

according to the zclassroom video for unified skin pressing “a” will show a preview of the skin at the resolution you have it set at.

Spaceboy412, I am refering to the Preview Menu, not the canvas. :wink:

d’oh sorry didn’t catch that. i would think that the zspheres could be seen in the preview window, or you could do a adaptive skin preview which may help if its just sizing/placement that you want to do.

Zsketching previews unified skin when pressing A. Old style Zspheres/Zsphere armatures preview adaptive skin when pressing A.

Bingo has the right answer for unified mesh preview. The “A” key will preview the unified skin when you’re in Zsketch mode (e.g. you’ve hit Shift-A when you were in ordinary Zsphere mode first.)

Well- here’s my problem:

I’m using the demo- and Shift-A DOES NOT enable Zsketch.

Is Zsketch not included in the demo? Is there a reason why this keyboard shortcut wouldn’t be working?
