Questions & Troubleshooting for ZBrush 2018

Same issues here. I went through the process to upgrade my license online but have not received any download info. License page still shows ZB4 key, but the upgrade link no longer finds any eligible license. Submitted a support ticket.

Exactly the same here… tried re-doing the process but also in that loop…did not work on the first try and then gave me this same message

Yeah. I was impatient too an tried to upgrade a little before 11 am.

My understanding Sami is that ZB2018 is a stand alone app and we can keep previous versions installed.

Now that I checked, I see 0 installs for my license.

I was just curious. With the license change, are we still allowed to have a copy installed on our desktop and a copy installed on our laptop as long as they aren’t running simultaneously?

I am not sure how I cause this issue for myself because, I tried to get the update at 2:18 EST and per your post it would be there by 11PDT. You never said we had to wait until you post an update on a formn that isn’t fair to saw we cause the issue…

I was able to upgrade my license successfully on the my licenses page, but my old email address is dead. I put in a support ticket to update to my current email address so i can get the download link.

Ok, still getting that ā€œNo Licenses foundā€ message, I already have a Pixo ID so i know that’s not it. The instructions I get say to ā€œtick the box next to the liscense(s) you want to upgrade then click ā€˜upgrade licenseā€™ā€ problem is, I don’t see any check boxes next to my license key. There’s just the key and the list of devices i have the key activated on (1 at the moment, left over from a drive reformat that i didn’t deactivate beforehand)

im also stuck in the loop, i did not get a mail for the upgrade and therefore no download link:( i hope there is a fix soon for this issue.

We were supposed to wait for an announcement that it was ready. I did the process at about 15 minutes past 11 or so. It seems that it was not ready at 11am on the dot.
Anyone who did this is getting same error.
SUPPORT TICKET is only FIX.
I guess we have to learn to be more patient!!:wink:

…well not so lucky after all -

Tried to install (without deactivating 4R8P2), and got this:

Also tried deactivating 4R8 P2, but still got this…

I guess I’ll have to do what it says then…

With ZBrush 2018 closed, go to your ZBrush 2018 folder and run the Pixologic Deactivation Manager. Click the ā€œResetā€ button at the lower left corner of the page and confirm when prompted, then close that application.

Now launch ZBrush again. Do online activation like before. Ignore the license count shown on the licenses page; just select the same serial number and continue with re-activation.

That should do it!

In case anyone in this thread doesn’t already know. The error we are all getting about ā€œno licenseā€ is due to trying to download to early.
Only fix is to submit a support ticket.

I’m having the same license problem I must have jumped the gun upgrading and have submitted a ticket to support. I hope it doesn’t take too long to fix.

A minor question: can I simply import my ZBrush 4R8 custom UI / preferences file, or are there settings in the ZBrush 2018 preferences that have been altered, which would be reverted to the old settings when I import my ZBrush 4R8 custom UI / preferences file?

I thought the update was available to us at 11am PDT. It was after that time when I hit the update to zbrush 2018. Ideally the update button should not be present on the my licenses page if it was going to create a problem.

18 minutes to download a 1.1 Gb file…you guys need to stop leasing those 56K Baud servers :D:D:D:D:D:D

I agree with you! It’s not about it’s users not being Patient… I am not a young guy so… not having patience isnt’t really a thing for me. Ticket was submitted at 12PDT… 4:08 EST now…

A note: my reason for ā€œNo licensesā€ was having changed my e-mail address since my purchase. I could fix this by changing my e-mail address back to the e-mail address I used when I purchased ZBrush. Maybe this helps someone.
