Installed 3.2 Mac, everything looks good except that the Mirror option in Subtool Master 1.2H doesn’t work anymore.
When trying it on a subtool the usual “flashing” of subtools appear on the screen and then the attached error message is shown.
That is because you downloaded subtool master for 3.12b. It will have some issues.
Is there another version?
I get the same error when mirroring. The only subtool master download in the download center is for 3.12b

Problem 1
I take a mesh like a plane.
I save a morph target, I move the plane a little and then create difference.
I select the newly created mesh and there is no creasing.
Problem 2
I hide a part of the mesh.
I hit crease.
The entire mesh suddenly appears and creasing is doubled -
meaning…
I wanted the purple polygroup creased, but both the yellow and
purple polygroups got creased where they meet, creating a
sort of double crease. And believe me, that is sometimes a problem.
I was testing if the GoZ works by following the video tutorial Zbrush to Maya
when I pushed the GoZ button the pop up says “The application GoZbrushToMaya.app quit unexpectedly?”
I tried downloading the SelectGoZApps_Maya and run it, but same thing happened
Anyone got the same problem? or solutions?

Zbrush 3.1 ztools, when opened in zbrush 3.2, can not then be exported cleanly. OBJs become crunchy looking.
I open zbrush 3.2 (mac).
I open a ztool that was made with 3.1 (pc).
I export a subtool.
When I try to import this .obj in Maya, or zbrush 3.2, or zbrush 3.1 (ANY APP) it opens looking like cottage cheese.
I found that when I mirror or duplicate with Subtool Master, I get the same error message, but I noticed the tool gets made and place with your tools palette. You can then append it into your subtools pallete. It gets mirrored or duplicated. The only problem, is you cant append into same subtool, so the symmetry function is off. I suppose you could make sure the tool completed, so you do not have to model on it afterwards… . .
After following the “Select GoZ App - Cinema4D” instructions. My GoZ from zbrush works but not the other way around.
Using version 11, os 10.5.7.
Did your rename zbrush, by any chance? Maybe to distinguish it from 3.12?

Nice update! I’m really looking forward to using this with C4D!
One issue: After getting the initial “Where’s the 3.12 folder?” error because I keep my apps in subfolders, I’ve successfully launched 3.2 by temporarily moving 3.12 to /Applications. So far so good.
But now if I try trashing the old 3.12 folder, 3.2 just complains again. Is some “update successful” flag not getting set, or is the idea that I’m really supposed to keep two separate ZBrush installs on my machine until v4 comes out?

I am having the same issue that you had, but still seem to be getting the same errors.
- Installed 3.2 (got errors regarding the zResources folder but it says it was successful)
- Went to fix permissions in Applications/ZBrushOSX 3.2 and /Users/Shared/Pixologic
- Went to re-install 3.2 but had same errors
- Launched 3.2 and it complained about the errors.
I am administrator and have plenty of disk space. Any ideas?

This is in response to a post i made a little bit ago where I was having issues with installing/running 3.2. I don’t see my post, but I solved my problem. Its definitely a permissions problem. I logged in as root and had no problems but then logged in as my other user and had the problems again. I had all of the permissions set as others had suggested by going to the info folder but that didn’t work.
I decided to do a bruit force method of solving the problem by using the command prompt going to the Applications/ZbrushOSX 3.2 folder and /Users/Shared/Pixologic folder and ran the command in each directory:
chmod -R 777 *
which will give full permissions to everyone to that folder. This might be a bit drastic to the those security freaks, but it works and im in!
Yes, that’s right. If you read Pixolator’s post announcing the release you’ll see that you shouldn’t delete the original installation.

I have an object made up of a number of subtools. Can I send all the subtools at once to Maya using GoZ? I have been sending them one at a time.

Thank you! I am working away and have found that the hide ring function is back working at 100 percent. Many people do not know an important fact - that Maya on the mac side does NOT have nex. Draster has not yet made Nex for the mac side. Without Nex, polygon modeling is slow.
Soooo … I use Silo. Silo is a modeling program that works like maya with nex. The ease of use is better in fact (imho). It is an inexpensive program and very intuitive (it understands ‘context’ when you do things, making it awesome). Like I said many people don’t know this. I know that XSI and Modo are important, but Silo is only 150 bucks (around that) and it does so much. Please don’t forget about Silo with GoZ.

Open the Finder and locate the ZBrushOSX 3.2 folder.
Click on the folder to select it and press Cmd+I to Get Info
At the bottom of the info window, click the padlock to unlock the permissions
Modify folder permissions to ‘read and write’ for all users. You may be asked to enter an administrator password.
Click the Gear drop-down and activate the option to “Apply to Enclosed Items”
OK the change
Repeat these steps for the Pixologic folder, which is located in /Users/Shared
Once permissions are assigned correctly, you should be able to launch ZBrush 3.2 without errors.”
Going from Zbrush to c4d works, but nothing happens when the button is pressed from c4d except the “selected object will be converted to an editable object and then sent”. But after this nothing.
What to do?
