Questions about UV in Zbrush

Hi !

I am new here (and new at Zbrush). First of all, I want to apologize for my bad english, isn’t my first language, so my english isn’t perfect. I am new to Zbrush and I want to know how to convert my polypainting to a texture. I know the simple answer “press the col>tex button”, but I’ll explain my problem.

-I created a low poly mesh in Blender and exported it in obj format
-I imported it in Zbrush and I sculpted with subdivisions levels
-I exported in obj the sculpted mesh at the first subdivision level
-I created the UV map in Blender of my imported object (wich is my sculpted object at subdivision level 1)
-I imported the new UVmapped object in Zbrush

Now, I want to transfer my UVmap of the mapped object (wich is subdivide 1) to my sculpted object (wich have 6 lvl of subdivision). I read that I must store the morph target, but I’m still a newbie and all my tries failed (the object is deformed when I restore the morph targer).

Can someone explain to mo how to process or give me a link to an explanation if it exists

Thanks a lot for your time and help !

does this help?

Thanks for your answer but I’ve already found this page. My problem is (I should have explain more, sorry) that when I press “switch” in the morph targer pannel, it deforms a bit my object. Here is a screen. In front view, isn’t too bad but when you see the interior of the armor, some faces aren’t at the good place. Isn’t too bad on this exemple but when I tried on an other object, it was worse. In fact, I think my problem is I don’t know how to use the morp target function. Does anybody have a clue why some of the faces have this strange behaviour ?

Thanks again.

My problem is really the morph target. I tried to make a quick search on the forum and the morp target seem to work with everyone except me. I don’t know what I am doing wrong. Maybe it’s my obj export (I did my Unwrap and my export with Blender) that it’s wrong. Am i the only one who have this kind of problem ? It’s weird because I didn’t move a single vertex, the stored geometry and the unwrapped object is the same thing (except that one do not have a UV map) so if the geometry is the same, I don’t understang why it got deformed :qu:
