Questions about maya to ZB and ZB to maya

Hello,

I am new to the 3d world and I am learning everything myself.
I just created midume level polygon male model in maya.
I exported it to ZB and sculpted little bit.
Do I just keep sculpting the model till the end, or do I have to import back to maya and add finger&toe nails, add more lines to the face?

I just don’t know how to finish the project…

The reason I am asking this is, since I am a self thaught, I just have created a high polygon model without using Zbrush before, then I read a magazine that shows how to import, and sculpt a low poly model in Zbrush.

How does the workflow go? Create a low poly model, import to zbrush, sculpt and finish it, and import back to maya for rendering?

There is no right or wrong workflow, it’s just whatever works best/fastest for the artist. If you do a search for “workflow” here on ZBC you’ll likely find many threads that deal with the subject. That may give you some ideas.

Thank you Dustin for the reply.

So you are saying that it is possible to make really low poly model and export it to zbrush and sculpt it like it’s a high poly model? That means I can create eyes, nails, and other detail stuff?
Sorry if it’s a dumb question, I am new to both 3d maya and zbrush.

I will make sure to search thread with “workflow”

Thanks.
