Question on Unwraping and Polygoncount

Hello Folks,

I hope it’s the right subforum here, I wasn’t sure where to ask

I have a high res model ca. 7 subdivision. I want to render a texture and put it on the same model but 3rd subdivision. I basically want to reduce the polycount down to the 3rd subdivision and export it, but use a higher res texture.

How do I manage that step by step ? How do I export the model at the 3rd subdivisionlevel to obj so I can go on with 3dsmax ?
If I click on export, zbrush will export the object with its maximum polycount right ?

zbrush will export whatever subD level you’re on. so go to subD 3 and export and you should be all set.
