I am just learning zbrush and already see great work on this site. I want to make digital sculpts of a number of different heads of people from real photos and need to figure out what the fastest and highest quality way to do this is? Any help is greatly appreciated.
The technique here will help you: http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/Sculpting_A_Skull_With_Image_Planes
Thank you, that was very helpful. However, I am trying to do the same exercise but instead of starting from a polyshere, I want to start from an imported obj file. Basically, I am trying to turn a 2d pic into a 3d file, so if I can sculpt on those images planes like the exercise, but just to modify an already similar mesh that would be ideal. I have had problems doing this after loading a obj file…even when I have saved as a ztool???
I am importing obj heads made in facegen modeller, and they have attached other items like hair or the eyes for example, so when I import the tool in zbrush, I notice that these other items do not come in a subtools, so how do I work with them independently, and/or apply their corresponding textures that come in with the import? Thanks for any help available.
