We’ve been told alot recently that goZ already works in 3.5R3. I was REALLY hoping that the official GoZ had more functionality than just a “bridge” button, because it doesn’t work well for me at all. From my tests, the following happens when going back and forth to maya:
–export mesh as .obj — no problem
–export as .GoZ — unrecognized file type in maya
–export as .ma —piece comes into maya at wrong place and wrong scale. Also, all polygroup info is lost. Then, when you export from maya as a .ma, you get a missing xyz vertex data error when trying to reimport into zbrush. Even after deleting history.
In the end, nothing works out of the box right now. Am I doing something wrong?
