Question : Adding Skin Details using Alpha's and how to go about it

Hey Everyone im currently working on a final year project and im sculpting a Turtle/Tortoise King ( i will add a thread soon with WIP )

Currently i have a question regarding adding skin details etc , What is the best way to go about this process :qu: when im using an Alpha say of Elephant skin , will i always be adding that little bit of mesh whil’st applying the alpha to my model :qu: vice versa with subtracting or is there some other way of projecting the alpha without adding or subtracting mass from the mesh , its a very small amount nothing major but i was just curious about this process and any tips or pointers will be highly appreciated =)

Thank you for looking at my post , and for commenting

in the alpha palette you can tell Zbrush where a “flat” surface is. “midvalue” i believe is the name of the slider. So if you want to not add the white to the mesh you move that slider to 1. 5. for 50% gray, 0 for black, etc.

Hope that helps.

Oh man thanks so much ! yeah it has helped heaps m8 thanks again :+1:
