Question about visibility of buttons in the UI

Hello. I’m hoping someone can help answer how to be able to view all of the buttons in my UI? I know how to make trays visible and how to hide them. What I cant figure out is how to make all the buttons visible?
I would attach a screen shot to show more of what Im talking about, but there is no way to attach an image to this posting. Basically, not all of the buttons are showing up. For instance, the “Remember draw size per brush” button is hidden. Some of the buttons at the end of the row below that are hidden as well. The last visible one in the vertical row of buttons is the Rotate button, but I know there are buttons below that. I just dont know what they are because I cant see them. There is no way to scroll.
My screen res is the recommended 1920x1080
Can anyone advise me? I am at a loss! :frowning:

Hi @jbrady

That’s unusual because at 1920 x 1080, you should be able to see everything, unless your button size is set really large in “Preferences > Interface > UI”. To see everything, the button size should be around 42 to 45. Mine is set to 42 and my screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 (see image below, click on it twice to see full size). However, you can slide all the shelves the same way that you can slide the left and right trays, except for the trays, you don’t have to hold Ctrl like you do for the shelves. Hold down Ctrl and move your cursor beside one of the icons or buttons on the right shelf, you will get an up/down arrow. When you get that, you can slide the shelf up or down. It’s kind of fiddly because the area to get the up/down arrow is small. If you “Enable Customize” and remove an icon from the right shelf, you can use that space to get the up/down arrow much easier. This works the same for all the shelves. Top, bottom left and right. Except, for the top and bottom shelves, it will be a left/right arrow.

Hello @jbrady,

As ZBer2 mentioned, uploading an image is a simple as dragging and dropping it in the text window, or using the upload button. It would be helpful to see the issue that you are referring to.

On a 1920x 1080 display, ZBrush should have no problem displaying all the buttons on the default interface with the default settings. If this is not the case,

  1. Are you using a custom UI?

  2. Have you changed the button size in Preferences> Interface> UI> Button Size?

  3. Is some sort of high dpi scaling active on your OS? On Windows you can see this by right clicking on the desktop, and selecting “Display Settings”. The resulting screen should show your resolution, as well as if any custom scaling factor has been set for easier viewing on a high resolution display. For instance if the screen is being magnified by 200%, this will double the size of all the UI elements, even though your actual screen res is 1920 x 1080.
