Hello,
I have a problem when trying to pick up the stencil image to the Projection master and see if anyone can give me some help.
I need to create some “embross” pattern on a model and need to create a mask by importing a photoshop file via Alpha and then create stencil to resize it to the desired proportion. Then I pick it up with the Projection Master and drop it to create a texture map (much as the stencil-based deformation tutorial ) , and then export it back to Alpha so I can use it as mask. The problem is my original Photoshop file is 3072 X 3072 pixels, but turned to a 1024 X1024 pixels texture map after “picking up” with the Projection master. And when I load the mask from Alpha ( create from the texture map ) , it became much pixalated and have not enough resolution to create enough details. The model itself is about 600000 polygons which seems to be enough ( is it? ) but the mask itself seems to be quite pixalated.
The new tutorial of the PM mentioned that it will create a texture map of 1024 X 1024 pixels while the “Stencil-based deformation” tutorial mentioned about the possibility of setting texture size to 4096 X 4096. Don’t know if I’d missed out some steps or the size of the texture map is what give rise to the problem and is there a way to work round it?
Thanks in advance
vince
