Question about sculpting along polygon normals

Hey there everyone!

I’m an inexperienced user with Zbrush 4 so I apologize if my question has an obvious answer. I want to sculpt a pattern along a round-ish object and I don’t want that pattern to deform once the normals of the object start facing away from the camera. Is there a setting that allows the brush to adhere to the normals of the object?
