I want to draw with background picture (already installed image pane) and I thought it might be best to use 2.5 to do that, but I need to make a 3D model out of it. Is it possible to convert 2.5 to 3D? If not what would be the fastest/easiest way to do that? With my current knowledge I would line up 3D cubes and append&merge them.
You can’t convert 2.5 to 3D.
You can use the imagePlaneX tool to start as that will set up your reference planes.
Well u can make an alpha out of it and convert that to 3d. I’m not near zbrush at the moment but I think it’s mrgbgrabber or something like that in the tool pallet. That will make an alpha of the screen depth and then u can tweak the settings and make a 3d from it in the alpha pallate.

Thx a lot, doing that with the alpha was very fast & easy ^-^
But I’ve got ripples at the sides (looks like a saw blade), tried smoothing them out but it’s not working well, any tips?
nothing?

Dock the alpha menu and play with these settings.
Play with them all to explore, the top box affects the alpha. rf(radial fade) might help ya or intensity, contrast, blur, or alpha adjust. Not sure what your
working with and trying to accomplish. The bottom box is for turning that grap into a 3d. So after your alpha adjustments look good, play with the other setting and make different 3d objects. Have fun with your explorations.
Already did that, used every brush, nothing worked. I’ve also tried the other alphas seems it’s a ZBrush thing, so I’ll just have to model it the old fashioned way…
