Quartz For STONECUTTER

As promised for the mighty ‘Cutter’

This started life in zbrush, then got finished in photoshop.

This is all airbrush work and a few filter bits here and there…no modelling.

Thanks

Beauty 8…
What kind of airbrush do you use? I have an Iwata HP-C, and a factory direct silent compressor…(Although I must admit I don’t fire it up much anymore… )

( Thanx, Bud! )

Hey Cutter man,

When I said ‘airbrush’, i mean airbrush in Photoshop/brush…

I used to have a badger airbrush though…albeit eons ago!!!

Thats for you anyway dude…I do about four of these things a week, when i can be bothered.

Still trying to project my airbrush onto texture for 3d models…

Thanks again!!!

I just saw you looking at me great eye… :+1: :+1:

Wow that is truely awesome!

I like it alot

Brilliant! :+1:

Hi BIT8 BOY congratulations for your airbrush work.
Stonecutter: I have my airbrush with no use in the last year…I have a Paasche Airbrush with doble action and internal mix¡¡¡
Is just to share what i was doing in the recent past.

There’s something magic about airbrushing Andre…Not touching the surface you are painting on, and the delicacy of the build-up of pigment is what I like about it. Paasche does great airbrushes! I’ve almost bought their Turbo a couple of times, even though the mechanism is very tricky to maintain…If you adjust the screw on it, you can paint uniform dotted lines, and it sprays differently, so you don’t need to use masking frisket…It uses a turbine wheel turning at 14,000 RPM to drive the needle, and picks up a single drop of pigment at a time!
What this image was done with is a Photoshop ‘airbrush’ tool, but it did give us a chance to talk over this great tool, right?

Yes Stonecutter, I understand the different talk but was to me very nice to remember some work i made with airbrush…you know some of your images you made with Shading Enhancer Brush has in some way the principle of work of the airbrush¡¡¡ very interesting.¡¡
Thanks for share and have a good night¡¡
10.15pm right now¡¡

Right you are, Andre!
(And it’s 7:28 PM here!)

that is beautiful, It reminds me of an eagle or some type of bird.

Hi 8
I can imagine the entiere head
Air brush digital is better for to be in good health
have happy Airbrushing!
Pilou

Hey zhead’z

Thanks for the positive feedback!!! Much appreciated as i don’t really post that much here or anywhere else for that matter…

I like it.

cameyo

p.s. SC: i have an airbrush … it’s another thing

Totally awesome image 8BIT! :+1: :+1: :+1:

great image !!!

But one thing appears a bit strange to me , I clearly see teeth in it … Right under the eye … Anyone else see em ?

or do I have a weird imagination :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks again for the positive input from everybody!!!

Namek, your eyes don’t deceive you! there are teeth in their and yes my imagination is a little warped i guess…

I have the attention span of a gnat, so when i’m painting that stuff i’ll just change my mind halfway through and things get left in, like teeth…

Someone just call me a shrink.

Thanks again.

Airbrush-type effects can also be easily achieved within ZBrush.

Different alphas will give you different brush shapes, and there are controls in the Alpha palette to let you give them more or less falloff at the edges.

Changing the RGB Intensity in the Draw palette lets you slowly build up intensity.

Stroke types let you achieve many effects beyond the standard Dots stroke type.

Also, if you bake your image you can then make use of the many color correction tools. The shading enhancer brush, for example, can work like either the Dodge or Burn tool from Photoshop, depending on whether or not you press the Alt key.

Have fun.

Really nice iris in there 8bit. 50.

With the graphire pen…airbrush techniques are a breeze. =)
I just with ZBrush would get a brush engine similar to PS7…I would be in heaven if so.
