?Quality Of The Rendering And Hd Sculpt In Zbrush?

Hello there

I have two important questions I believe touching the very core of our searchin for perfection in sculptin 3d models, it is of course about rendering quality in Zbrush. For example, eye lashes are displayed perfectly smooth even in the 3dmax preview windows but What’s wrong with the same model while rendering in Zbrush??? / best and preview/ I couldn’t, for unknown to me reasons, upload images to the server but models in a preview window are better shaded than in the best mode renderer mode… I’ve played with some best render options but looks like blurring doesn’t help a lot…

The second questions refers to Hd sculpting. When in Hd sculpt mode u add certain details to the mesh and it is wonderful feature u cannot underestimate, unfortunately when u uncheck the hd sculpt button and enter ‘normal’ mode all the details are stored /where?/ but… gone. I’m totally new to Zbrush and I think it’s only my lack of experience, I hope, not Zbrush weak point. Any help or suggestions from those who mastered Zbrush?

Or I should reconsider to render Zbrush sculpted models in other 3d application?

thank u for ur word of advice!

For your first question, we really do need to see pictures to know what your difficulty is. This link should help.

For your second question, how many polygons does your model have at its highest non-HD resolution level? Before going into HD, your model should be divided about as far as it can be with your system. If it’s fairly low resolution, then you won’t be able to see the details when you turn off the HD sculpt.

HiJ

Still can not upload images but here we have links for better understanding of the simple problem: heavy lashes, jagged in Zbrush and soft ones in 3dsmax. This is the same mesh transferred in obj. format. Workflow: Zspheres -> eyelash -> 3dsmax to multiply-> and back to Zbrush. I’ve moved almost all the sliders in Light, Renderer and Display properties to the right…. and no change at all /except of rendering time/ … Resolution of the document doubled.
