Hey look at that, the 200th post, and it’s all MINE!!

I though of something, I haven’t posted a shot of his back yet, which is where I put most of his skin details. So here ya go. Oh, and ignore the blocky shadows, those SHOULD go away in the engine. I guess I’ll hear about it if they don’t

ohhhhh-man ReplicA, the silhouethe on last render is trully imposant:+1: :+1:

I love it…yeah

haaa ok…i was thinking maybe relief maping (as i didn’t here this naming before) that it was this map that give information to a normal map to be able to project shadow of it…
just a nming thing then
he looks awesome with his belly and i love his back! great work!
by the way the link doesn’t work…

Thanks, Abyssis, I’m glad you like him. Now that I can make some decent normal maps with ZMapper, I’m able to get higher polycounts in ZB, which let’s me make more detailed models. Maybe that will help me when I make the zombie.

Abe, thanks. Hopefully I can get started on the next model soon, still so much work to do.

You wouldn’t happen to have peerguardian would you, Abe? I do, and that link works fine if allow HTTP connections. I’ll see about finding another link just in case it’s something else.

[EDIT] And how about a link to the site of the guys who made the relief mapping mod? http://www.inf.ufrgs.br/~oliveira/RTM.html

that’s what i was thinking of about this relief mapping (w’ll have that in our project normaly
and you’re right…this zmapper is just awesome…im using it to baking from diferent geometry and it’s brilliant (i know i keep saying the same thing …but it’s so true

Well, since there’s been no word on my Ogre yet, I started modeling a shotgun. I haven’t modeled too many weapons before, but it’s coming along rather nicely.

I’m getting really inspired by the Executioner thread here. I wanna get to some character models, and make them nice and killer looking. I suppose after I finish the shotgun, I can start on the zombie. Maybe I’ll try for some more realistic proportions, and anatomy on him. Man, this is gonna be fun.

exellent! cant wait to see that zombie!

great my firend !
he is getting better and better ! I’d like to do something togeder in D3 editor
keep it up my friend :+1:

Well, I’m not quite done with the Ogre yet. He is to be fatter, with a bigger booty, so here’s the update of the fatter, uglier, slightly less chewed up, Ogre. Enjoy.

Best yet :+1:

agreed! there is a feeling of masse on this one! he really loks good!
comon post the zombie now

I like the modified ogre,nice job:+1: :+1: :+1:

Any news about who is gonna do the textures ?? or did someone start working on them already ??

…waiting for your zombie:D

Well, there was some communication breakdown between me and the mod lead on this guy. It got cleared up last night, but it means I’m probably gonna have to redo most of him. He was supposed to be REALLY fat, not just tubby, so I’ve gotta make some pretty big changes to his anatomy. That of course, means I can’t start on the zombie yet, and after I finish this guy comes the Demon, then the Spider-Dude, so the Zombie won’t be around for quite some time. Sorry.

For now, I’ve got re-evaluate how I need to approach the Ogre, and get this guy done soon. I’ll post when I get him where he needs to be.

Awwww…I was waiting for some undead renders:(
BTW,isnt the mod lead keeping an eye on this thread ??

Yeah, I would have loved to start on the Zombie, but sometimes things pop up that you can’t control. It’s really no big deal, I’ll get my chance to model him.

And no, I don’t think he checks this thread that often, as he’s a pretty busy guy. He’s not just doing this mod, he’s got other stuff going too. I’ll know better on the next model, and ask more specific questions about what will be needed in the design.

For now, though, here’s a fatter version of the Ogre. I don’t think I can make this guy much fatter with the current low-poly base as poly’s are starting to get a little bit stretched, so if I have to make him fatter, then I guess I will have to completely remodel him.

i’m not familiar with quake so i don’t know any better, but this guy looks like a helluva interstellar line cook. love the face. great modeling as always!

Hahaahaa, industripop, that’s pretty much it. He’s kind of a butcher, thus the apron, but I totally see what you mean. Mom always said, never trust a skinny cook.

On a work related note, I got approval for the model! Yay! He’s done! I just have to re-do the chainsaw, and I can move on. So happy

man, i really envy you guys out there that get to do this stuff for a living. i’m a graphic designer, but geting so bored with doing 2d stuff. never seem to have time to practice/play with zbrush. need to start integrating it into my 2d so i have an excuse to use it.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I haven’t made a dime from my models yet. I’ve got an offer that might change that, but as of yet, I’ve only been doing mod work, and you don’t get paid for that stuff. It’s great way to get experience, and exposure though. Also great learning experiences as well. You should have seen my first low poly stuff… Bleeecccchh…
