I just tried out qRemesher on dynamesh I made in about 2 mins, qremeshed it just fine, fiddled around with polycount slider, tried it out a bit. Works fine, even on higher poly .
Then I load up a sculpture I have about 399K polys, zDecimated (all triangles ) , so I taught I might wanna retopo with qremesher.
I set up my polycount slider to approx. 1/4 of the original polycount, start qremesher.
It stasts cleaning up the mesh, everything goes good, when progress slider is about 1/3 however, it stops and gives me ‘Remeshing error encountered. Remesh cancelled’
I have tried the same with two other zDecimated models, same thing. That’s basically what I need to do, qremesh my old zdecimated models into quads. Is it so that it’s not even possible to qremesh zdecimated triangles at all ?
