QRemesher

Has QRemesher Arrived yet? I’d really love to try this out for optimizing models. I hope it works with triangles too. Reconstruct Sub-D does not work with triangles.

I have a feeling that Q will work with tris - there are too many people interested in importing meshes created in other programs, for further detailing within zbrush. The ability to import triangulated meshes, and remesh them into a useable mesh for high resolution detailing would increase Pixologic’s market significantly.

Wouldn’t you love to create a very intricate base mesh in Sketchup (taking just minutes to do), and import it into zbrush for sculpting?!?!? Who wouldnt? And that goes for any other program that works with tris/n-gons.
It would open up the door to architectural and automotive design significantly.

Q with Dynamesh, should make for a pretty unstoppable team.

I was against the idea of Q being a purchasable plugin at first.
But in the last few weeks, I’ve run into so many places that I think it would be perfect.
If Q can do what I’ve described above… I’d gladly drop some $$$ on it.

As for its arrival, I feel like I read somewhere that it would be released in late Feb. Who knows, the Pixologic website really has no info on it available to the public yet.

I am rather excited about this, if paying for it ill allow Verold to develop other technologies in this area to help us out then I don’t mind paying a reasonable amount for the add-on. Fingers crossed that it delivers what we’re all hoping it will.

i’ll be using the noisemaker plugin, I dont need qmesher because I use 3dcoat for retopo stuff… but yea the noisemaker will hopefully change a lot for me I CANT WAIT!!
