Hi all,
I’ve got a fairly dense mesh of a tree created with Dynamesh that I now want to retopologise with QRemesher. I’ve drawn a bunch of guide curves with the Topology Brush and masked out certain areas where I’d like a higher density of polygons (the tips of the branches).
The Dynamesh object is just shy of half a million polygons and I’d like to bring that down to about 100.000 remeshed polygons. First of all, why is the ‘Target Polygon Count’ slider maxed out at 50? This would give me half as little as polygons as I want. More importantly, the buttons ‘Half’, ‘Same’ and ‘Double’ don’t seem to override ‘Target Polygon Count’. If I enable any of them, the resulting mesh is always around 50.000 polygons (as by the slider default). Not good. At this amount, the tips of the branches don’t get enough resolution and their tube-like shape starts to collapse in on itself. Right now I seem to have no means to change the target resolution.
Any ideas? I’m using ZB4R4 on OSX 10.6.8.
