Qremesher Guide and topology brushes can't make symmetric loops around model?!

I have a problem, i can’t make any symetric loops around my symmetric model inside Zbrush when drawing topology guide curves. I used the same method to draw guide curves, which is to hold shift and then drag the guide curve completely across the surface of the model until a loop shows up. What ends up happening is the loop just draws a curve all the way around the model based on my camera view, disregarding any symmetry on the otherside, even with symmetry on. as a result i get a crooked asymmetric loop across a symetrical model.( ex. if i have a cylinder, and i draw guide curves as a loop, the loop generated is not a perfectly symmetrical and straight circle, but more of a crooked diagonal one. )

I would also like to know how to draw curves straight across snap to the middle of a model right before it meets with it’s other half. I usually can’t get a straight line in there, or have both the curves from both sides of the model to join in the center of it as one curve that loops all the way around…

Any suggestions?
