Q: Fine detail displacement map from Z3.5

Hello there.
I am having a lot of trouble in the work with getting displacement map from a very small and fine detail - such as grapefruit’s rind.
The displacement map that i get is all white and light gray gamma. No pure black.
So i have problem getting nice detail in XSi with this map.

I searched for Zmapper for Zbrush 3.5 and found thread here that says theare isnt going to be any version for 3.5, and that the displacement export in 3.5 is good enough.
Well, after reading the F1 abouth it, i just cant make it work at all.

Displacement maps won’t give you tertiary details. The general rule is to use displacement to get the overall form, and to use bump mapping to get small details like you’re describing. If you need both, then use both.
