purchase ZBrush

Hi all, I want to buy ZB and found that it is available on other sites as well as directly from Pixologic. One of the sites I found it for sale had it at $150 less than Pixologic’s price. This was at Novedge.

I contacted Pixologic about the legality and/or support from off site purchases but have not had any response from them. Since my questions have not been answered I thought that the forum might be able to direct me.

#1, are off site purchases supported by Pixologic?
#2, would you consider an off site purchase safe or a legal copy (have you had experience either way)?
#3, is customer service normally slow with them if I have issues after purchasing ZB? From what I’m experiencing so far I’m concerned.

I really want to buy ZBrush before the end of the year, a legal and supported copy. $150 dollars is a lot of money to save if it is all on the up and up.

You can always verify any retailer here: http://pixologic.com/retailers/ If they’re not listed, don’t trust them.

As for customer support, I just used your email address to locate your Support ticket. You posted the ticket at 12:01 pm today and received a reply at 5:04 pm. We typically respond to all Support tickets within one business day, and that is what happened with this ticket. I also saw where you had posted another ticket under a different email address. That ticket was posted at 6:06 pm yesterday – after business hours (9am to 5pm Pacific Time). A response was sent today at 4:50 pm. Again, that’s within one business day. A response time of one business day is actually exceptional within the software industry. Many developers have much longer response times.

Yes, I did receive an email response after I posted here, which I was grateful for. The reason that I posted a second question was that the original email I had used would not let me login to view my ticket. The password I got in my Pixologic email would not work and I got a message ‘Invalid Username or Password’. I tried multiple times but could not login. I did send a ticket stating that I could not login. I was afraid that they had responded to my ticket but I’d never see the answer.

I’m sorry for the second email and question but I’m keen to purchase ZB before the end of the year which is approaching fast. I didn’t know where to go if I couldn’t login. The second account worked perfectly and I could login. Later that afternoon I got the response via email to my original email address (that I can’t login with).

Thank you for the link. Again, I’m sorry for the inconvenience I’ve caused by my impatience. I’ve caused a double situation. Please advise me on how to handle that.

I now own ZBrush but have to wait for the work week for a serial number. I can’t wait to delve into this.

Isn’t there an option to run in trial mode until you receive your serial number?
