projection master texturing

i have watched a lot tutorials the last time.in most tutorials the texturing wasmade by projection master.they allways say:take your texture ,select alpha, select the 3d plane tool ,go to projection master and draw.:frowning:
when i try this there is no texture on the 3d plane tool just the material colour.please tell me what the hell i have to do to get this technic to run:mad:
im realy frustratet.

A couple of things to check:

Is you object dense enough for polypainting? (This is my preferred mode for Projection Master.) You may need to subdivide more before dropping to canvas.

What brush are you using? Not all brushes use texture. Try the “Simple Brush” (the one that looks like a gold “S”) for starters.

What version are you using? ZB3.5 R3 will automatically catch if your model is not set up for painting properly when Project Master is first activated.

thanks a lot!can u tell me how to use the move brush to calibrate my positions.
there are lots of tutorials where the tutors use the move brush to sqeeze and pull corners and areas around to fit exactly.(sorry horror english!)

If you’re trying to match verticies (vertexes, points), it is easiest to work in orthographic views (e.g. square-on, at right angles.)

To do this, start to rotate your model and press down the shift key. The view will “snap” into a square-on view of the model. Use the move brush to grab a vertex (point) and drag it into place in that view. Repeat if there are other out of place vertexes you wish to correct. You have now fixed things in one dimension.

Now rotate the model slowly to the left or right (it doesn’t especially matter, whatever you’re comfortable with) and press the shift key once you start the rotate the model. It will “snap” into place again, rotated exactly 90 degrees left (or right.) Now you can now move the points into alignment in this dimension.

When finished correcting in this dimension, now rotate your model up or down (again, it doesn’t matter) slowly and press the shift key again to snap the rotation at ninety degrees. Now you can move the points to align them in the third dimension. Once this accomplished your points should be aligned in all three dimensions.

Hints for the move brush when doing this: Use a small brush (size <10) and turn Zintensity to 100. Make sure Zadd is on. This will give you a strong brush that should pull just the point you hover over.
