Projection Master and textures?

Hi all,

Basically, I’m trying to texture a uv-mapped building without subdividing it (wasnt really built for sculpting or subdivisions). Id like to be able to use Projection Master to texture the building, since it will project directly to the texture map. I have some tileable textures Id like to use, but while in Projection Master, I do not see a way to use any texture images.
I very rarely use Projection Master and thought this would be a good way to learn about it.

Is Projection Master only for hand painting and alphas or am I going about this all wrong?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Any takers?
I may be able to make my computer struggle and subdivide the model to a high enough res to use spotlight to texture it. But there’s got to be a better way…

If you have UV’s, make a texture from that (Tool > Texture Map > New From UV Map) then export it to your 2D app to apply the textures then bring that back in to ZBrush.

I think that will be my backup option if all else fails. I was hoping to project textures as to avoid a lot of photoshop time. The model isnt unwrapped the best (my fault!) and is a bit difficult to get a textures to align properly.
Ideally, Id love to be able to use Projection Master then use Spotlight to bring in my texture. I guess thats what ZApplink is for, right? On a slower machine like mine its a bit time consuming.:o
Ill keep hacking away at this, may just have to do it the hard way. Thanks for the response!

I believe there is no way you can paint directly on texture map without using polypaint inside of Zbrush, yet.
You will have to subdivide your model high enough to hold the texture resolution anyway…

Im slowly getting the texturing done. Im using a combination of ZApp Link and 2d photoshop work.
