Projection is destroying mesh

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, if not, i apologize. I am doing the ant tutorial on Digital tutors and after I retopoligized mesh and I use projection it destroy mesh in spots. I’ve asked on the DT forums, but noticed they are a little slow when replying, so i thought I would ask here to. I’ve attached an image to show whats happening.

Sometimes I use Geometry > Modify Topology > Close Holes and it closes the holes

Thanks for replying, but i don’t have that option, im guessing cause i haven’t made it an adaptive skin yet. Any other ideas?

I figured out the problem, but wanted to post what I found, in-case someone else ran into the same thing.

Basically I had overlapping edges on the mesh and not enough edges on some parts when I re-topologized it.
