Hi , I have had an on going issue, with artifacts, on prior projects I blamed myself, but now I believe there may be something more to it. When working with hi res models, the problem only is visible on close ups, and when using displacement and normal maps. This project brought the issue to light, I created a robot, a dozen or so subtools. The first project ended with a 400 thousand poly robot that I took into cinema 4d, rendered and animated, no problem! Taking the same project , I wanted to create a version under 50 thousand polys, As an example the Subtool I am using is the torso. Viewing the photos , will describe most of the problem, which is , when creating maps , Zbrush uses the projection with errors and does change . As in photos, projection errors carry thru, When errors a smoothed out , they look ok on Subtool, but after cleaning up the object, all the original errors from projection seem to be memorized , by Zbrush and carry on to maps, I have tried saving Subtool, closing Zbrush, and opening to clear out any history, no joy ,I have tried merging all poly groups to single no joy, I have gone thru each subdivision level and smoothed, maybe I am missing something!

Here is the displacement map, a few errors circled are the ones that come from projection, they cannot be seen any place in project, to do anything!
