Projecting Detail Onto New Topology Help

Hi! So I’ve got a high res character I’ve made in Zbrush and I want to retopologise so he can be lower poly. This is the first time I’m using this workflow because I usually make the low poly version first and add detail later, so I’m not too sure of how things work this way. I’ve tried retopologising in Zbrush but I don’t really like the way it works. So I was wondering what would be the best method of reprojecting my detail onto a mesh that has been retopologised in a different program, if that’s at all possible.

As long as the retopologized mesh holds matches the same size and whatnot of the highpoly mesh, you can just use a program like xnormal or Max/Maya to bake your maps.
