Projecting a face onto a model

I am a newbie and still working my way around.

I want to project a photo on to a model but I do not wish to use zaplink and I want to place the model to the side of the photo not over it as with zproject brush. Basically I saw this tutorial on youtube but I fear this is an old version of zbrush as I can not replicate it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTh0wSjF71U&feature=related

Am I doing something wrong or is this not possible to do in version 3.5 r3?

Thanks anyone

as you can read in this post

in 3.5r3 some functions of the zproject have been dismissed and will be fully functional in the version 4, so for now you only have to wait or use the zproject to project details from other subtools (image planes) placed underneath the area you want to pain

Ouch! That’s a pity. Sound like Z4 is a way off yet. Thanks for the reply though.

Best

You could use ZAppLink to send the model to Photoshop where you put the face in place. When you return to ZBrush what you’ve done in Photoshop will be projected onto the figure.
