Can the “range” or “distance” of the “project all” function be adjusted?
any ideas or answers much appreciated
btw: I know the work around just wondering if there is a way to manually adjust its distance
cheers

only in the Mac version at the moment.
this is probably the workaround you know but use a morph target and the morph brush. layers help too cause you can adjust the intensity. i’m sure even with the range adjusment slider one still has to do some cleanup.
thanks spaceboy
The function I’m looking for relates to the technique of projecting details from a source to a target mesh of different typology but similar volume/shape.
It seems that the project all function (for polymeshes, under the subtool menu) has a limited distance it will calculate from the surface, verts outside this are unaffected (that when you use zproject brush to clean up).
I know under projection, when re-typologizing with zspheres there is a projection range slider used to increase the distance of the projection,
But this function seems to be only available when projecting detail onto the new zsphere re-typo’d skin.
What I’m after is the projection range slider, for polymeshes contained as subtools when using the project all function under the subtool menu.
Usually I just get my hands dirty and manually clean the trouble areas, but surely there must be a way of increasing or decreasing the distance for the project all function?
cheers
yes as i said for now only in the mac version. look up the mac pdf.
alternatively you could use the retopology function but import your mesh into the topology section and use the functionality there.
cool thank you, that would work
speaking of things buggy, not all zb bugs are bad.
While using zspheres either for creating or re-typo’ing a mesh, there is a way to constrain to an axis (x,y,z).
When you toggle preview mode, you can actual change the x,y,z modifiers under transforms then toggle back to zsphere mode and the move function will be constrained.
Normally this function is grey’d out for zspheres.
cheers
cool, never saw that thread but yeah awesome, I love how zbrush never fails to reward exploration
cheers
