Problems with ZSpheres and plus

Hi guys, i am really new here, and new with the tool. i appologize first about my bad english.

I am experimenting some troubles, but i dont know if its a real problem, i think that i am doing the things wrong but i need some help.
The first question is about the Zspheres when i try to preview my adaptive skin, the model looks blocky and mess i want to ask why is happening this to me. I attached two pictures about this.

The second question is about a preview bug that i am trying to remove, but like i said i dont know if is a bug or is a mistake of beginer in the software. i preview two models in my view but only one is where i am working on.

Thanks a lot!

Federico.

For the second question you probably have done a screenshot that can be cleaned with ctrl+n.
About the first question, can you clarify where you see the problem? I can see a couple of problems in the figure but none fit the word blocky.

I am saying that i am following a videotutorial from digital tutors, and when i made my own Zsphere structures, the skin is not smooth like the tutorials, mine it look like a mess.

i attached the link from the tutorial so you can understand me better.

Not completely sure of the problem as that video is for paid users but this is my guess:
The kind of artifacts you have are typical of the classic skinning mode. Set instead the default mode deactivating the classic skinning. This can be done only in no preview mode.

Edit: looking your screenshot you have no classic mode active. Not sure then why you have those artifacts as I can not reproduce them except in classic mode. It is odd you have a density so high and the model is not super smooth. In fact high density creates more artifacts.

Your adaptive skin doesn’t look like a mess to me, it looks pretty good. The only problems I can see are some folding in the hand and a hard line on the belly.
These are likely due to scaling issues. In your zsphere armature the sphere for the base of the finger looks like it’s inside the sphere for the hand.
This will cause the resulting geometry to turn back into itself obviously, causing the type of folding you’re getting.
The hard line on the belly is probably a similar issue of the zpheres scaling.

In terms of following these tutorials I would try not to be too attached to your results.
I have done alot of these tutorials over the years and it is very easy to miss some subtle action.
ALso there is often some little thing that an instructor may perform so naturally that they
forget to mention it and you have catch it by sight only.
This can get very frustrating. Try to remember the tutorials are more about process than result.
For example having to redo your ZSphere armature 10 times because it doesn’t look right,
or re-watch the tutorial 10 times to find what’s missing,
may be frustrating but at the same time the processes involved will be burned into your long term memory.
