Problems with symmetry

I am adding detail on a mesh of a human mesh i have created and i just noticed a problem. At the subdiv. 1 in some points, symmetry seems to have been lost (ie if i try to use the move brush at 1 to move some points the other side doesn’t comply - this happens usually on points of the feet). It’s X symmetry which i have been working with since the start of the model.
I would appreciate any advice on how to get back the symmtry right.

mask off half of the model…the good half.

go to subD 1
tool>deformations>smart resym
do this for each subD level.

That should fix the problem
